KEY INFORMATION

Booking Terms and Conditions

All bookings are provisional until confirmation by Porthmeor Cottages and subject to our terms and conditions shown below.

RESERVATION & PAYMENT

Bookings can be accepted only from persons over 18 years of age and, by paying the deposit, the client acknowledges that he or she agrees to the Terms and Conditions on behalf of the total party intending to occupy the property.

Reservations will be secured only when a deposit of one- third of the cost is received. The balance of payment is due 8 weeks before commencement of the holiday. We reserve the right to cancel the booking if the balance is not paid by the due date. If a booking is made less than 8 weeks before arrival, the full cost is due at the time of booking.

CANCELLATION

All cancellations must be notified in writing, preferably by email. We will endeavour to re-let the property. If successful, a refund will be paid equal to the amount for which we are able to re-let the property less: a) any amount outstanding for your booking and b) an administration cost of £38. Depending on whether we are able to re-let the property and the amount for which we are able to re-let the property, you may lose some or all of any amounts paid to Porthmeor Cottages. Cancellation insurance is strongly recommended.

Should a booking have to be cancelled (by yourselves or us) due to COVID restrictions then we will offer you the choice of either a full refund of monies paid through our COVID GUARANTEE, or the opportunity to move the booking to an alternative date (subject to availability). Please note that the refund guarantee covers lockdowns and tier restrictions, but does NOT cover you (or members of your party) for being unable to travel because you (or a member of your party) fall ill with COVID, or are required to quarantine or self-isolate. These events can be covered by you taking out travel insurance, which we strongly recommend.

ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE

All holidays start and finish on a Saturday (except as agreed for out−of−season short breaks). Tenancies commence after 4.30 p.m. on the first day and terminate by 9.30 a.m. on the day of departure.

SHORT BREAKS

Short breaks are available from November to the end of March during low season (excluding peak school holiday periods). A minimum of 2 nights is required. Please contact us if you require more details. Christmas and New Year short breaks are only available last minute. Short breaks at other times may be considered.

COMPOSITION OF PARTIES AND AGE LIMITS

We are essentially providing family holidays and it is our policy not to accept bookings from groups of young people under the age of 25 and/or large all male or all female parties. This policy is not intended to be discriminatory, but is merely to protect ours and the other guests’ interests.

Under no circumstances may more than the maximum number of persons stated on the website occupy the property. We reserve the right to refuse admittance if this condition is not observed. Any persons other than the members of your party must not use the facilities at your cottage.

There is parking for cars at both properties.

SMOKING

We regret that our properties are available to non−smoking guests only.

COMPLAINTS

We try to take every care to prepare our properties to a standard whereby our visitors will enjoy their holidays. If a problem or cause for complaint does arise, please let us know immediately. Every effort will then be made to assist you. It is frustrating for all parties if you write after your holiday to tell us about a problem that could have been resolved had we known at the time.
