GUEST REVIEWS AND COMMENTS
“This was the perfect holiday for us – wonderful, peaceful area of West Cornwall and for me, the stretch of coastline and cliffs here are the best in the country. Just spectacular! Thank you to the Berrymans for being wonderful hosts. Eliza’s Croft was perfect – home away from home!”
Matthew Moir, November 2017 (Eliza’s Croft)
“Beautiful cosy cottage, in perfect setting. Ideal for a romantic retreat.”
Chessie Sheppardson, October 2017 (Clippity Clop)
“After a long journey, there is nothing more welcoming than a cream tea with homemade jam awaiting for us at Eliza’'s Croft. Although the cottage is very bijou, everything is well planned, thus making it very easy to live here. Delightful views towards the sea from the seating in the garden so we could make the most of the sunshine. Thanks for such a memorable week.”
PJK & MRP, October 2017 (Eliza’s Croft)

“We’ve really enjoyed our stay at Clippity Clop. The cottage itself far exceeded our expectations – it had everything we needed and the cream tea on arrival was much appreciated. Loved the wood burning stove too. Our hosts were very welcoming, told us everything we needed to know and left us to it to enjoy. Thank you very much!”
Sophie Eckersley, August 2017 (Clippity Clop)
“We have spent a wonderful week in Eliza’s Croft. The cottage is lovely with stunning views stretching over unspoilt farmlands to the sea. We have enjoyed the tranquility here: waking up to the sounds of the cattle and your delightful hens has been a real treat. Thank you William and Lee for being the perfect hosts.”
Jan, Neal & Josh Oliver, St Albans, Herts, August 2017 (Eliza’s Croft)
“We have loved staying at Clippity Clop, it was highly recommended by our friends and didn’t disappoint. It is a beautifully converted little cottage with everything you could need! We have enjoyed the diversity of plant, bird and animal life on the coastal path, fabulous sunsets over the sea and an atmospheric foggy walk back form the Gurnard’s Head. This stretch of coast from Porthmeor to St Ives is stunning and we have also enjoyed inland walks to see Lanyon Quoit, Ding Dong Mine and the Men–an–Tol. We so appreciated the cream tea on arrival, the fresh flowers and having a supply of delicious eggs from those gorgeous hens!!. The Gurnard’s Head is a wonderful place for a pint or a meal. Thank you Lee and William for the thoughtful way in which you hosted us and we hope to return soon.”
Holly & Ian, August 2017 (Clippity Clop)

S Spencer, Derby June 2017 (Eliza’s Croft)
“We are always so comfortable and happy here in lovely Clippity Clop and after our 14th stay, are still in love with it and West Penwith. Thank you Lee and William, as ever, for creating the perfect destination. Two weeks isn’t long enough for us to do and see all the things we love here, but we have done lots of them – still cycling, still climbing at Bosigran, still walking the coast path and all the footpaths in and out of St Just, still eating cream teas and watching the waves in Porthmeor cove – what could ever be better?”
Iain and Judith, Wales June 2017 (Clippity Clop)

“Eliza’s Croft was like a home from home! Cosy, well–equipped and very practical for a stay with a young family. The quiet, unspoilt location is idyllic: beautiful views from the windows and the most stunning coastal walks directly from the cottage. It’s hard to believe it’s just a stone’s throw from bustling St Ives and Penzance. Thank you for such a genuinely warm welcome. We're aiming to return as soon as we possibly can...”

“A wonderful place to relax in after a close by walk enjoying the breath taking scenery.”
P Krzenzissa, Germany, May 2015 (Clippity Clop)
“'We have thoroughly enjoyed our stays at Clippity Clop, over many years, and decided to try Eliza’s Croft this year. It was just as peaceful and romantic, but more spacious and with a lovely, private sitting out area at the rear, where we really appreciated the sunsets and beautiful views of the surrounding hills and landscape. Both farm cottages are in a secluded rural location, on the coastal path, and we have particularly enjoyed the breathtaking, rugged coastal scenery on our walks to Zennor, followed by a few pints at the Tinners Arms. The spectacular Porthmeor Cove is only a short walk from the cottages and has become a very special and memorable place for us. St Ives and Lands End are also only a short drive away, and the Gurnard’s Head, pub and restaurant, is only five minutes’ walk from the cottages.

The owners, Lee and William Berryman, are friendly and welcoming and the cream tea on arrival is always appreciated. The cottages have wood burners and are spotlessly clean and well equipped, with attention to detail and the needs of guests. Both cottages provide a wonderful retreat in a beautiful part of Cornwall and we are looking forward to returning in the future. ”
Jackie and Bill Pearson, March 2015 (Clippity Clop)
